ROVERGREEN

Rovergreen is a project born on the initiative of Cesare Roversi Arredamenti srl, a company located in the North of Italy, which has been operating in the field of contract for hotels and banking houses for over 60 years. The passion for quality, for “beauty” and for design articles has led to the production of “Rovergreen carports”: the photovoltaic technology has been applied to these sheltering structures that are not only made of wood, but also of metal, Corten steel and concrete, designed by some big personality like Tobia Scarpa.

Rubikon 2

Rubikon is a paper cut-out, which becomes a functioning camera (camera obscura) after gluing together.
In 1979 the ABC magazine published a jigsaw called Dirkon, which paraphrased the single-lensed reflex cameras, which used to be very popular at that time. The cut-out Rubikon was first published in 2005 in the 8. issue of the ABC magazine, 25 years after introducing Dirkon. Since that time it has been also published in foreign media dealing with photography. Rubikon is also used as a teaching aid at some schools of photography and elementary schools.
The second version of Rubikon, The Pinhole Rebel is even more user friendly and easy to build.

One look at the lush interior designs at the Soho House New York and the High Road House in London, and you’ll quickly understand why celebrated designer Ilse Crawford claims “the most important space is the six centimeters around you.” Or, as The New York Times once put it, “her work doesn’t have a signature style, but a signature feeling: emotion and deeply rooted to the place.” Find out more about the formidable one-woman show and her seminal work in Gestalten.tv’s latest podcast interview, shot in Crawford’s homebase of London.
